Our Mission
The mission of Camp 252 is to provide a cost-efficient annual summer program for elementary and middle school students of the NYC/Long Island community. Our annual six-week summer program provides families with time flexibility during the busy summers and prioritizes spiritual maturity, academic excellence and a secure environment for their children.
Camp 252 focuses on supporting the local school districts by allowing students to maximize their summer time with academic preparation. Students that enroll in Camp 252 benefit from high-quality instructors and tailored curriculum that will allow them to excel in the upcoming Fall semester.
Camp 252 cultivates an environment of academic growth enhanced by the values of spiritual maturation, leadership training, unified teamwork and development of social skills. Over the course of the summer, the student’s daily experience at Camp 252 develops into a balance of educational preparation and truly enjoyable recreation. Our program provides registrants with weekly organized sessions that evenly integrate academic studies (math, reading, writing, science, etc.), field trips, group games, sports, music and the performing arts.
Camp 252 achieves its mission by recruiting a team consisted of Department of Education certified instructors who affirm our core ideals and mission values. Our teaching staff at Camp 252 are committed to the principles based on Luke 2:52, which emphasize a young person's intellectual growth, spiritual maturity and leadership development. In doing so, Camp 252 benefits the NYC/Long Island community by providing employment to qualified professionals and future instructors, who in turn pave the way for mentorship and career preparation for the next generation of leaders.
Camp 252 accommodates its summer sessions in church buildings that are adequate in terms of safety regulations, classroom capacity and ease of access by the local community.
Camp 252 will expand its mission by planting future satellite locations throughout NYC/Long Island and sending out qualified leaders to start additional summer programs.
